Windows 7. Is there an option to set the opening of WLM to go to the Inbox
instead of the last folder viewed?

I don't think so.

Michael and Earl,
Add /mail to the WLMail shortcut and WLMail will open to the default account
Inbox.

"C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe" /mail 32 bit OS
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe" /mail 64 bit OS

Earl,
Right click a desktop or Start menu shortcut, Properties

[QUOTE=Ron Sommer;3020097]Michael and Earl,
Add /mail to the WLMail shortcut and WLMail will open to the default account
Inbox.

"C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe" /mail 32 bit OS
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe" /mail 64 bit OS

Hi Ron,

I know this was posted years ago and it used to work for me, however, no more.

I have deleted all Shortcuts and tried starting over, but still can't open directly to my Winmail 2009 Inbox.

BTW, do you have 32 bit OS and 64 bit OS transposed on the lines quoted above?

Happy New Year and hope you can point me to a solution that will work again. I have the space delimiter in place.

The trick is not only to append /Mail, but also to make sure your email login name is set to default. Go to Tools, Accounts... and Set as Default.
