going back and forth between wired/wireless in Vista

Hi! I am new to the forums and to Vista. I just purchased a Gatewa
laptop that came with Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

On my old laptop (and indeed, on every laptop I've owned), if I wante
to switch from wireless to wired I just turned off the wireless card an
plugged in the wire. The laptop recognized the switch, no problem.
However, on my new laptop, it claims that there is a problem when I plu
in the wire and turn off the wireless. It claims that there are tw
networks connected and I have to disconnect one. Eventually I got it t
work by disconnecting all networks and then only reconnecting the wire
connection. But I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to have to d
this every single time I switch connections? Because I never had t
before..

Another orphaned post from EggHeadCafe.

No one knows to whom you are speaking, the problem you need solved, or can
help you. This is why:

You are not posting on a real forum as you think you are and you didn't
quote any of the thread to which you are replying. You are using a web
interface that leeches Usenet posts and most of the rest of us are using
real newsreaders. We don't see what you do. If you want to participate in
Usenet, the better way is to set up a newsreader. This is very easy to do
and I'll give you information about that below. If you prefer to use a
forum, then here are two excellent ones:

Since you are using a web interface, you may not realize that this is really
a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you learn to use
a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you can use
Outlook Express (XP) or Windows Mail (Vista) since you already have it.
