Going back to previous pages- IE9

After having IE9 installed for a few days, I dislike that I have to click
the Back button 2, 3, sometimes 4 times before the browser finally does go
back to the previous page. I've tried turning Compatibility Mode on for ALL
sites, but that seems to make no difference. It doesn't matter if I use the
Back button in IE, the Backspace key on my keyboard, or the Back button on
my mouse; the behavior is the same. It also doesn't matter if it's HTTP or
HTTP sites. Disabling all add-ons doesn't help either. I'm running Win7 Home
Premium 32-bit SP3 with all updates, 4Gb RAM, 260Gb free HDD space, and IE9.

Any ideas/solutions will be greatly appreciated (other than "Use another
browser").
