Hi Karl,
I am not aware of any database application that will read a mdb file without
converting it into .cdb.
You have the option of not allowing ActiveSync to convert the .mdb file into
..cdb. This will retain all the forms and reports. However, you will not be
able to use the database on your PPC. Your PPC will simply act as a storage
medium without the conversion.
To configure the conversion settings ---
1. Open Activesync on the desktop and click Tools -> Options.
2. Click the Rules tab and click the Conversion settings.
The conversion rules of different types of files can be modified for either
when the file is synchronizing from the Desktop to the Device or from the
Device to the Desktop.
