- How to set up Cluster Servers ?

- Hardwares and softwares require to set it up successfully ?

- If possible the STEP BY STEP or DIFFERENT SCENARIOS ?

Thank you very much

Hello Calolo,

What OS are you talking about?

What applications/services do you like to cluster?

Hello,

I have a question about installing new cluster servers on an existing
network (Windows based )

We have only 1 domain controller (Windows 2003 Server) which controls the
entire company's internal network and 3 member servers for file server, print
server and the last one is for applications server.

For the company's security we have Red Hat which uses a Proxy server and
firewall for internal users

With the new company's policies we have to reinforce the network dataflows
and securities. So it had been deciced that we had to add cluster servers to
avoid timedown and if one server is down the other can automatically takes
the role.

We have a single domain which is controled by the DC for internal users
(windows 2003 Server Entreprise Edition) and now we would like to add new
cluster servers for redundancy

Please, could you tell me how to plan or any resources that can help me to
implement it successfully ?

Thank you very much

Hello Calolo,

So you like to cluster the file and print server and the application server?

Should it be a 2node cluster or do you like to use more cluster servers?

Do you have any kind of SAN available? On this SAN the data will be located
and the 2 or more cluster servers have to connect to.

For print cluster see the link in my previous post.

Hello Weber,

I would like to add cluster servers for redundancy because actually we don't
have any clustering servers. Due to the company's new policies, we have to
reinforce the internal network's securities, deploy failed over and provide
redundancy for the network (DC, mail server, application server and files
server ... )

My main mission is to provide redundancy and failed over for all these
servers which means if one server is down the other automatically takes the
role or vice versa including in the case for mail server, application server
and files server.

Also providing network dataflow (load balancing) for the entire network,
set-up a INTRANET for the local customers with very high authentication
security like (SSL, Certificates and via VPN connection)

Hello Calolo,

Clustering solutions need more then additional server hardware. I think you
should get in contact with an IT-company that can provide you with a planning/solution
for all your needs in your current network to add cluster servers.
