Google web accelerator appears always 'disconnected' when working on a vista
computer Does anyone know why or how to fix this.

Doesn't appear that it is supported in Vista. According to:
http://webaccelerator.google.com/support.html

"To use Google Web Accelerator, your computer must have a Windows XP or
Windows 2000 SP 3+ operating system."
