I got the 828026 blues

I'm implementing some long-overdue updates to my XP Home machine. I've tried
installing update 828026 almost a dozen times now with no success. I followed
Jupiter Jones' instructions twice. This problem is preventing me from
installing some long-overdue updates.

Not knowing what Jupiter Jones recommended, have you tried deleting
every WMP .dll file on the system, reinstall WMP, and then install
KB828026 ?

If you've already tried that, then nevermind
