Is this genuine from Microsoft?

What is that about?

Will like to inform myself a little bit about it before I accept it.

Logon with your Live ID at http:/profile.live.com
- Click on Permissions and read the section on Permissions

Microsoft is not responsible for sending invitations to your Network or Messenger.
Invitations(solicited and non solicited) are sent from another person with a Live ID. Their intent may or may not be within your
comfort zone.
- If a Live ID profile is configured to accept invitations, then disable that option in your Live ID's permission settings.
