I installed a driver off windows update for the internal graphics on a pc off
windows update. After which the screen is now stuck at 640 x 480 and 16 bit
colors. I have tried changing it in desktop properties won't let me. I
attempted to roll back the driver already as well. Any suggestions

Never get drivers for your hardware from Microsoft - unless it is Microsoft
hardware.
Always go to the manufacturer of each component's web page and download the
latest driver from them.
Install that driver.

Do that now.

Microsoft <> Intel.
Different companies.

(Microsoft)

(Intel)

Intel Drivers...

You must know what vide card you have. Look on your receipt/invoice for
the computer - ask the people you bought the system from, open it up and
look, etc.

There are applications out there that can identify what hardware you have,
but I think they all depend on a properly installed system - as I think they
pull the information from the registry. Perhaps they do not - so I will
recommend you try one..

Belarc Advisor

Once you know what you have, what next? Go get the latest driver for your
hardware/OS from the manufacturer's web page. For example, let's say you
have an NVidia chipset video card or ATI video card.....

What you could also do is just try reinstalling the driver. Sometimes when
it is downloaded, it runs into a problem and does not work properly. If
this does not work, download the driver from Intel.
