A few weeks ago when I went to play on a game called The Movies and when I
put it in the computer went off and then not even a second later it came back
on and started up and then it said that the computer had recovered from a
serious error. I tried to play again and the same thing happened. I decided
to look on The Movies website and I was told it was either the harddrive or
an update had changed my graphics card. I don't think its the hard drive
because everything else is working fine. I've figured out how to find out
what the previous updates are, but how do I no if they've affected the
graphics card? What can I do about it? Dose anyone have any other suggestions?

Did you install a new graphics driver via Windows Update? If so download a
new driver from the card mfg's website and install it, and never install
drivers from Windows Update.

Hi. I'm really sorry but I have no idea what you just said. I'm not very
technical. I'm not sure what was downloaded by what, but I think it'll have
been windows update. When I've looked I haven't understood what any of the
updates are. Also its my not my computer it's my Nana's so I don't have any
control over whats downloaded when or who by or anything.

No just giving correct information as your statement is not totally correct.
