Hi, having just upgraded to Vista, I now need to upgrade my Graphics card,
so as Windows Aero will work. Now the problem, which one. I only want a
standard AGP card that will operate Aero, as I do not use my PC. for games
etc. It seems that all of the graphics card advertised, are over spec for my
requirements. Is there a standard Generic card that will operate Aero on my
machine.

any Ideas.

Thanks

Hi,
Any graphic card from the NVidia series 6000 (stuffed with 256 MB RAM) and
up will work with Aero.
That is the cheapest line with Aero support.
A 6600 card would be a good choice.
Avoid the cards with a number 3 as the second digit, i.e., 7300, 8300 etc.
Usually the ones with a 6 as a second digit give you a good bang for the buck.

Yes, it would suffice for what you need.
On the ATI side of graphic cards, a 9600 would also fit your needs.
Compare prices and make your decision.
