Grayed out Winks, Nudges, and Emoticons

Grayed out Winks, Nudges, and Emoticon with all toolbars and "show" items
checked? I set my screen resolution to match my Spore Game resolution and
since then I can not see these element in Messenger...

Could you make a screenshot perhaps? I'm a bit confused, are they grayed out or just not
showing?

Got it thanks.

What's going on there is your contact isn't using Windows Live Messenger 2009. Either
they're using Windows Messenger on XP or some other client which doesn't support those
features - which is why they're grayed out.
