great fix all

I went to start opened the run file and typed in the open block chkdsk c:/r
when the dos screen opened I answered y and entered. After that I restarted
my computer, it took about 1 hour to run the checkdisk program but it was
worth it. It fixed about 25 bad sectors and files, after that I was able to
update everything for the past 3 months with no problem!!!!! Give it a try.

Hello.
You are still in trouble.
It did not *fix* the 25 bad sectors. It may have *marked* them for you.
You need to run the manufacturers (that of your hard disk drive) on the
drive and get it replaced if it tests badly.
Maintain your periodic backups more constantly now that you know you may
possibly have a bad hard disk drive.
