Great-Patch Tuesday and WU/MU are down

Error number: 0x80244022 and the published fix doesn't help.
Also what is with Microsoft's website generally, almost every XP page I've
tried since yesterday has been unavailable?

I believe there is a problem with the servers. MS will be working on the problem as a
matter of priority.
