Um, no it isn't. It's a great offer for students and teachers who want
Windows 7. Another unhelpful post from one of our two resident trolls,
you and Frank.

Oops. You are right. I never click on links of low ball offers for
software but this time he was correct.

I retract my statement.

If you were to use Ubuntu, you wouldn't need to be afraid to click on an
URL. But you use Windows so your fear is justified.

I have no worries about being infected when clicking on questionable sites.
I just figure there is no need. My system is well protected so it isn't a
problem. I never visit PORN or gambling sites. No need to.

But you're afraid to visit them because you know how vulnerable Windows is.

Game, set, match.

Only if your anti virus has a definition.

If your anti virus doesn't have the definition, you wouldn't know if
you're infected or not.

Not true. Most Windows users do not update their copy of Windows or
other applications and that's how they get infected. The second
Wednesday of the month isn't called Exploitable Wednesday for nothing!
With Ubuntu, an orange icon will appear when you have updates to any and
everything on your computer and with a couple of clicks, you're patched.
3 out of 5 Windows installs are not up-to-date and anti-virus programs
can only flag that which they know, not new viruses in the wild that
they don't know about. Not only that, NO anti virus program is 100%
effective.

With Ubuntu, staying updated is easy. With Windows, you need to know
what you're doing to know if your Flash, Java, Adobe Reader, Shockwave,
QuickTime, Messengers, etc. are up-to-date or not.

Game, set, match but I know the dumb **** will come back for another
beating and think he's won that which he has lost big time.

Retracting your statement is not the same as an apology so the
"douche" comment still stands.
