IF i have Readyboost enabled, I can't put Vista to sleep on my Toshiba
laptop. Every day I find another "gotcha" in Vista. This bites!

anyone know of a solution?

Do you have USB Legacy support disabled in your BIOS?
My Toshiba laptop has no problems like this. have you upgraded
your BIOS, Drivers, and other utilities?

In the BIOS setup, try disabling the ability for USB devices to wake up the
computer.

To everyone. I had this problem 3 times today, before I posted. Now,
with nothing changed, it will hibernate (other than a cold boot). I
tried to pay attention to any conditions that might have been different
between the times it didn't work and now. I didn'tt see anything that's
different except for having rebooted. I use a 2 GB SD card, formatted
FAT32. Vista failed to format it to NTFS and it took forever for the
FAT32 format to work and that took 2 tries. First time I got an error
message that format failed, as I did at 100% when trying to do the NTFS
format. sigh...five minutes or so of watching the progress bar during
formatting...and then it fails. another "grrr" moment.
