I've unchecked the box that disables the guest user account and
clicked apply and then OK. I log off my account and the login screen
only shows my account, not the quest account. How to get to that?

Thanks,
Markus

Hi Markus--

Try typing "control userpasswords2" into run box>thengoing to Advanced
Tab>click Advanced Button in middle of dialogue box>click users in left
pane>click "Member of" tab>add button>type "users" (lose quotes) into box
that says enter object names>OK>close.

Chad,

I have got to hand it to you. you are pretty good with vista issue. I
have been watching your replies for a couple of hours now and usually
your replies on pretty much on cue. However, I am still waiting for a
real problem to come along to see if you can answer it. Otherwise,
your knowledge of basic vista issues for the users that have learned
Vista is good insight. Like I said though I am waiting for that one
issue and there are a few out there that I ahve worked directly with
Microsoft on that is or was missing from the OS until we placed it in
there and a direct command script has to to be written among a couple
of others, but there are simple fixes available, but you have to cross
that path to know these answers. But I beleive you may even get
those. I'll never tell what they are, but I will be checking in on
your replies to see if they catch catch you by surprise. Keep up the
good work. prose072

Hi CH,

I tried your suggestion and I still couldn't see the guest account at
the login screen. Turns out that it helps to go to the control panel
and actually turn on the account ;-)
