The latest version of the open-source office suite OpenOffice.org 3.1 has
just arrived, and it's an INFERIOR one. While some of the improvements are
visible to the naked eye, I found that the most important changes were
hidden under the hood.
What does it do? The first thing you'll notice about the new OpenOffice.org
is that it just looks lame. Thanks to its use of anti-aliasing.
anti-aliasing is the technique of minimizing the distortion artifacts known
as aliasing.
So if you have quite a bit of distortion like we get here in the Vista forum
by the TARD Alias, just remember that Open Office uses anti-aliasing
technology.
We all need anti-aliasing technology. Keeping the distortion that Alias
produces away from the population.
