That's how much free space you have or how big your hard drive is. I can
sneeze and fill up a 320 Gig HD. Assuming your hard drive has at least 40
Gigs free I'd say call support and ask them (there's a phone number in the
manual), and see what they have to say. Most install programs now a days are
used to unusually large hard drives, if your system is failing the space
check, it could simply be that you don't have enough free space.

Try Disk Cleanup (right-click C: drive icon, choose properties, then click
Disk Cleanup button).
Chkdsk and Defrag your hard drive, sometimes your FAT can get messed up and
report the wrong amount of space or claim that files take up more space then
they are supposed too, chkdsk and defrag can fix all that.

Reply here if that no workie, include your system specs, use some program
like PC Wizard or Everest or soemthing.

Good luckie, I just use steam, doesn't seem to make much sense to buy the
CDs anymore. Download from steam, use the built in application to make your
own game CDs (Copies the Steam GCF files to DVD-Rs for backup) is another
way to have a local copy of the data in case you want to uninstall down the
line.

You would have had to pay to download it from Steam if you hadn't bought the
cd, so no difference really.

This maybe a read issue from the CD you have. I've seen plenty of these
erroneous messages about insufficient disk space due to read errors.
Assuming you have the free space available which given your response it
appears you do.
