Handling of Album Art in Media Player 12 is a disaster

If I go to a artist from the artist view and then click on Artist the album
art all redraws.

If I go from the Artist view to the album view, you really don't know what
to expect.
When I first go there and album art can be on any album, then after time it
will refresh and then it is correct until you go out of album view and back
into it the it does the same thing.

Media Player 11 worked perfectly on this computer with Vista x64.
Media Player 12 is a pain to use on this computer with Windows 7 x64.

I hope I am the only one with this problem?

Are there any way to fix this problem without going back to Vista and Media
Player 11?

Thanks

1900 + full CD's

With over 20000 songs.

Windows Media Player can't remember what album art goes with what Album or CD.

I bet if i install XP mode and install media player 11 in XP mode my
problems will go away.

I can remote desktop into my XP computer and Media Player on it always has
the correct album art wtih the correct album. and once the album art is
displayed I can go between Genre, Artist, and Album and no album art redraws.

Media Player 12 on my Windows 7 Computer is "JUNK"

Window Media Center works great with music and is a improvement over Media
Center in Vista on this Computer.

Hi Neil,

This computer worked perfectly with, VISTA 64 bit and Media Player 11.
After formating an installing Windows 7 Media Player 12 has problems.

My laptop with Vista 32 bit and Meda Player 11 worked perfectly.

After formating and installng Windws 7 Media Player 12 has the same problems
that the desktop computer does.

XP computer and XP laptop with Media Player 11 works perfectly.

Desktop and Laptop have video adpts made by different companies.

My next attempt to find out what the issue is, will be to formant the laptop
and patch it with the latest patches and install nothing else.

It it work then it will be a common program with the two Windows 7 PC's.
If it doesn't fix the probem then the only common thing will be either
Windows 7 or Media Player 12.

I think I am having the same issue with WMP 12. It doesn't seem like a
graphics card issue, it is not like a tearing effect if I scroll too quickly
or something like that (also I have a GTX275 with the latest nVidia drivers).
The problem appears to be that when you switch from say "album" view to
"artist" view it seems like it has to reload the album art again. Everything
starts as a question mark and then gets filled in. It happens pretty quickly
(maybe a second or so) but I find it quite annoying. If you don't switch
views then it works fine; once it has loaded all the artwork I can scroll up
and down and the art slides nicely by, but as soon as I switch views it has
to reload it all again.

I never had this issue with WMP 11 in Vista... Is it possible to install
WMP 11 in Windows 7?

Maybe I'll try the 64bit WMP in the meantime.
