My system crashed last Monday after dowloading and installing two optional
media updates. I did a clean install and identified KB922770 and KB917283
(Net Framework) as a cause. After receiving two different suggestions on how
to install them, I didn't follow through since I am not sure they are
necessary. However, today I found that the Root Certificate Update (931125)
also causes the system to hang. This one seems the more critical of the
three problem updates. Is there a way to install it without making the
system hang?
