hanvon 0806 drawing tablet

I was given a new drawing tablet which I want to use to edit Photoshop
Elements 5 pictures and downloaded the latest vista download. I have vista 32
but the pointer shows on my monitor but shouldn't I have something showing on
my tablet? I am new to this and don't know what to expect but the tablet is
dark and editing doesn't seem to do anything. I can see a pen writing box on
my computer but don't want it for that, I want to edit. I tried to call
technical support but due to a heavy accent, cannot understand. Please
someone tell me what I should have.

No, you won't see anything on the tablet. As long as the cursor appears on
your computer monitor, the tablet is working correctly and you can draw and
edit away.
