There is no way we can answer your question because you've told us
nothing about the files, where they were saved, your computer, what you
did, etc.

These links will give you a better idea of what information you need to
include in a newsgroup post so people can help you:

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Usenet
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/555375 - How to Ask a Question

In the meantime, do a search on your computer for something like *.jpg
(assuming the pictures were in that format). Do nothing else on the
machine until you either figure out what you did or come back with more
information. The data is still on your hard drive and if you do nothing
else on that hard drive can probably be retrieved with data recovery
software.

"Important, irreplaceable" means you should have been backing these
files up onto a second hard drive (either internal or external) as well
as occasionally burning them to DVD-R. If you weren't doing this, it is
time to set up and implement a backup/disaster recovery strategy.

Hi, Ragin'.

I agree with Malke.

One way to find "missing" files is to open a Command Prompt window and use
the good old Dir command (from back in the days before Directories became
Folders). At the prompt, enter: Dir c:\*.jpg /s/a

This should list EVERY .jpg file on Drive C:, no matter which subfolder it
may be in and not matter if it is Hidden or Read-only or anything else.
(You may have time for a cup of coffee if you have a large drive with lots
of files.)

What "2 issues"? I'm sorry, but you're still not giving us enough
information to help you. Do the search for *.jpg and see if you can find
the missing files. Also tell us where - the actual path, not what
program you were using - you thought you saved the files. Without more
information from you, we simply can't guess what has happened and
recommend the best solution.

First, you don't store pictures in Media Player. If you are looking at the
Library View in Media Player this displays pictures that are stored in
Folders on the hard drive.

When are looking at the Library, in the left side of that window, look at
the bottom of the list and you should see a 'Folders' item. Click Folders
and you will see the path to the folders where the actual files are located.

Click the Start Button and type pictures in the Search Box and press
Enter.

This should open Windows Explorer in the pictures folder for your account.
Look in that folder and sub-folders for the picture files.
