Click Start > type "Windows Sidebar Properties" > check "Start Windows
Sidebar when Windows Starts" > click OK.
You can change the Sidebars Appearance by opening the Windows Sidebar
Properties. Open Control Panel and you will find it there or Search for
Windows Sidebar on the Vista Start Menu search box. Click the Plus sign at
the top of the Sidebar to add Gadgets.
