what happened to the old update options?

I don't like automatic updates. I am using win2k srvc pack 4 with a dialup
56k connection.

There is stuff I don't need or want on windows update, like the newest
version of media player or the dotnet framework latest versions, partly
because they take so damn long to download. So I liked the manual "chose your
own" selections version of windows update, what happened to it???

How to configure and use Automatic Updates in Win2K:

1. In Control Panel, double-click Automatic Updates.
2. Click one of the following options:
• Notify me before downloading any updates and notify me again before
installing them on my computer
• Download the updates automatically and notify me when they are ready to be
installed
• Automatically download the updates, and install them on the schedule that
