What happened to XP's Internet Reversi and other Internet games?

Hello. XP used used to have five built-in Internet-enabled
board games (Reversi, Spades, Backgammon, Checkers,
and Hearts). Apparently they are not available in Vista.
I also checked on Zone.com, but they are not there.
There is a version where you can play these games with
the instant-messaging client, but I want to be able to play
against random people on the Internet like I used to with XP.

Does anyone have further information on how I can play these
games, in particular Internet Reversi?

The games were rather annoyingly removed from Vista, and as you say,
they are not the same as the msn Zone or the messenger versions of the
game (where you play against friends).

Rather annoying because you could play without needing to signup for
anything and without needing to chat.
