What hapens if I have my windows update settings set to 'Scheduled
Automatic' Updates but I neglect to reboot? For instance, lets say I'm
scheduled to DL updates once per month, but I don't want to reboot
until next month. When the next set scheduled download occurs, will
the new updates download and install? Or will I reboot, and then the
next set of updates have the green light to D/L and install?

Hi there,

If you don't reboot the patches/updates will not work untill you restart,
other patches/updates which update an earlier patch/update will not appear
as well.

Best regards,

Critical security updates sometimes replace vulnerable files that are
being used but can not do so until the system is rebooted.
Thus, the system is still *vulnerable* to exploits that the updates are
intended to mitigate.
Not rebooting is NOT good practice.
No other updates will be offered until the PendingReboot is done.
