Noel,
Thank you for your response. I spent all morning backing up my files for
safety sake. I am running XP home SP2 and this MDAC doesnt seem to apply to
my version.
Here is the biggest concern of the many...
4/18/2006 8:14:13 AM Userenv Error None 1511 NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK
SERVICE CHUCKSPC Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on
with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when
you log off.
4/18/2006 8:14:13 AM Userenv Error None 1515 NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK
SERVICE CHUCKSPC Windows has backed up this user's profile. Windows will
automatically try to use the backed up profile the next time this user logs
on.
4/18/2006 8:14:13 AM Userenv Error None 1502 NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK
SERVICE CHUCKSPC Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible
causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local
profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format.
4/18/2006 8:14:13 AM Userenv Error None 1508 NT
AUTHORITY\SYSTEM CHUCKSPC Windows was unable to load the registry. This is
often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights.

4/18/2006 8:12:41 AM Userenv Warning None 1517 NT
AUTHORITY\SYSTEM CHUCKSPC Windows saved user CHUCKSPC\Charles Wales registry
while an application or service was still using the registry during log off.
The memory used by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will
be unloaded when it is no longer in use.
This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring
the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.
I checked for services running under a user account and found none. I did
apply some MVP registry patches but did not do any exploratory changes. The
services that are causing most of the grief come back as erro code 193:0xc1
when I try to start them manually. I have restored my system back to the 10th
of April and have all the same problems.
My bad, I did not back up my registry before applying the recommended patches.
Should I reinstall and start over?
Thanks again.
