Happy with Vista but .......

I have the Ultimate version. When I initially click on IE the window opens
up nicely, filling the screen. But then all subsequent windows open up at
about half the screen area. Surely there is some way to fix this, but I
can't find it. (I've tried the ususal methods of dragging screen with ctrl
held, alt held etc--no avail.) Any help much appreciated.

Make later screen full size and then hold SHIFT as you close by clicking
X...
should open full next time.
