I want to backup my entire C drive, OS and ALL the files on that drive. I
don't believe that the backup utility in Vista backs up the operating system
and ALL files. c Can someone point me in the right direction to accomplish
this.

Thanks

I believe that the Complete PC Backup is only available in Vista
Business/Ultimate. I really like Acronis True Image - you can create images
of your partition/drive and also do incremental backups. Store the images
on an external hard drive for easy restoration of your system in an
emergency.

Do a search of this group for Acronis True Image Home V11. It's what I use
and works great.

Hi Mike D,

If you have the Vista Home Basic or Home Premium edition, then you do
not have the Complete PC Backup feature. A good alternative is the
program "Acronis True Image". You can try a fully functional 15 day
trial version here.

'Complete hard disk drive copy, cloning and image backup software:
computer files and disk copying'

Hope this helps,
Shawn

For making a clone (a directly bootable copy, not an image file that has
to be "restored" before it can be booted) of the entire drive or just single
partitions, Casper 4.0 is tops. It specializes in making clones, and it can
update a clone incrementally. Furthermore, with Casper 4.0, the "parent"
OS doesn't have to be made invisible to the clone when the clone is started
up for its first run. See www.FSSDev.com/products/casper .
