Okay, I had to upgrade my motherboard and processor the other day, and found
it was cheaper to just buy a whole new computer for what i needed, sooo, i
did. It had Vista pre-installed on it already, so i figured i'd give vista a
shot. I installed my old harddrive with EVERYTHING i had on my old computer
into the new machine with the help of a friend.

Now comes the problem. the computer detects my old hd, it downloaded drivers
for my old hd, and it lists my HD's model number in the device manager list.
HOWEVER, the driver does not show up under Computer, I cant seem to get
access to it, and when i populate the volumes tab under properties, it shows
the right info, but no listing for the Volume. Its just a blank out next to
the drivers icon, and I dont know how to assign a volume letter to it.

I feel like i'm sooooo close to getting it fixed finally... HELP!

Under Computer Management | Disk Management, can you right-click on the
drive and give it a drive letter?
