Has anyone really solved this WindowsUpdate problem?

Hi!

Are there anyone who has (in Windows XP 64-bit version) managed to run
WindowsUpdate and to install all the updates?

I have tried everything that is said in this newsgroup (search
"windowsupdate"), but the same message appears to my screen: "ADMINISTRATORS
Only".

Same problem occurs to me, when I try to use some others AutoUpdate-service.
Like In Creative's pages, when I try to update my soundblaster's drivers with
autoupdate function.

I don't need answers like "It's a beta release, Why should it work...". That
won't help me anyhow.

I found a post and it worked for me, though only MS knows why.
But it has been noted that Auto Updates and BITS have to be set to Auto
Start in the Services Applet. Not Just Running, But Set to Auto Start????
