I want to create a desktop icon that appears on the desktop of everyone who
logs onto that Vista PC. In XP, you could use default user desktop and place
an icon there. I can't find how to do this in Vista. Help...

The new location in Vista:

C:\Users\Public\Desktop is the location for All Users. Any shortcut icon in
this folder will appear on every users desktop.

C:\Users\user name\Desktop is the location for each individual user. Any
shortcut icon in this folder will only appear on that invidual users
desktop.

Ronnie, thanks very much for the quick response. That has done the trick. On
my Dell the desktop folder was hidden by default, but I found it and now can
use it.

Once again, many thanks.
