Not really...
The maximum theoretical gain with SLI is about 20%. In reality though,
you'll rarely ever see that much gain...if not even see a loss. How well
SLI works varies a lot from game to game. Some games it can work great,
some games it can cause problems. Really, someone is better off upgrading
to a higher level card than to go SLI.
A single 8800 GTX will outperform any 7000 or 6000 series SLI setup.
