You can go back to XP. You just need to have an XP install CD and a product
key. Which, if you don't have, can be purchased.

Why can't you go back to XP? Is someone forcing you to stay with Vista? Of
course you can go back to XP if you want to (unless you live in a communist
country and they forbid it) !

If you own a legitimate copy of XP you can easily return to it by booting
off the CD, format the drive and install it. If your computer came preloaded
with XP its probably on one of your System Restore CDs that came with PC.

First, how did you decide that you would ask a question where suggestions
are made?

Ask questions on the appropriate newsgroups and you can probably get your
problem(s) solved.

I can safely assume the main problem is between your chair and your
keyboard.

You could read or watch the movie "Jarhead" and then you would know that's
what they referred to the Persian Gulf region as. So it's not limited to
