Hello,
I am using 4 email addresses in WLM, and would like to have a folder in the
Filter grouping the "deleted mail" from my 4 addresses.
Is it possible ??
Thanks for any answer..

Hi, Dudule.

> ...a folder in the Filter...

What does this mean? Do you mean a folder in Storage Folders? Or something
else?

It's easy enough to create a new folder in Storage Folders and call it just
about any name you want - except that the name "Deleted items" is already
taken by default. You might want to add a folder called something like
"Deleted Mail from All Accounts".

As you've probably noted, WLM creates a "Deleted items" folder for each
email account, plus a single "Deleted items" under Storage folders" for
newsgroup posts that we might delete from any and all newsgroups. (All
these folders are emptied each time we exit WLM - if there is a check in the
box that offers to do this. To see this box, and change it if you like,
press <Alt> F O M to reach the Options screen, then the Advanced tab and
Maintenance.)

But I don't know how to get the deleted Mail items into that new folder
automatically. You can visit each individual Deleted items folder, Select
All to highlight all the messages there, and then Copy or Move them all to
the new folder. But that might be clumsy and tedious if you have to do it
often. Someone here might know how to automate this step, but I don't.

For Mail items deleted automatically by your Mail Rules (Is this what you
mean by "Filter"?), you could change your Rule. Instead of "Delete it" or
"Delete it from server", you could choose "Move it to the specified folder"
and then specify your new folder for its destination.

This is only possible if you uninstall WLM
and install one of the others on this list:

Good luck and happy eMailing from your future Oppressor.

Hello,
Many thanks for your answers...
What i would like to have is a subfolder in the "Filter folder", like "Sent
mail", "All mail"... i have already, but called "Deleted mail" grouping all
"Deleted mail" from my 4 email accounts.
Excuse the folders naming, as i am French and all my folders are in
French...
Actually i do not have the possibility to select such folder from the Filter
window selection...
Thanks

Hi, again, Dudule.

Since I didn't recognize your term "Filter folder" as it relates to WLM, I
asked in another newsgroup. Noel ("Ildhund"), a frequent contributor,
explained that it means what is called "Quick views" in English. But I
still may not be able to help you do what you want.

There are separate Quick Views for Mail and for News. But "Deleted items"
is not listed in either of them. So I still don't understand what you want
to do.

There is a Deleted Items folder for EACH Mail Account, and we can create
new subfolders within each of those folders - but I don't know how to
combine the folders for multiple accounts into a single folder.

There also is a single Deleted Items folder for ALL News Accounts, under
Storage Folders. We also can create one or more subfolders within this
single folder.

Perhaps you could create a new "dummy" mail account, which would also create
a deleted items folder for that account. Then you could move items from all
your real accounts into that dummy deleted items folder. I'll let you
decide if it is worth that much effort to you. And other solutions are
probably possible, but I don't know of any way to do it automatically. (A
Mail Rule to be applied to each Deleted Items folder???)

Good luck. And please let us know if you find a solution. Others might
want to know, too.

Many thanks for your answer,
Yes the term "Filter" is "Filtre in French and is probably named "Quick
View" in
English..
So the "Quick view" does not have the "deleted items" folder, grouping all
"deleted
items" from all my 4 mail accounts.
It would be interesting to have such folder to be able to see rapidly if
there is no item deleted wrongly in all mail accounts...
Too bad...
Thanks anyway...
