Microsoft has another forums site: Microsoft Answers.

I stumbled upon the other microsoft forums site by accident. Enjoy.

This (microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general) is a newsgroup, not a
forum, which can be accessed via an NNTP newsreader. The Answers forums
cannot be accessed via NNTP (at least not with using a very shaky beta
application called NNTP Bridge).
