I have .Net framwork 2.0 installed

So do I still need the critical security update for .Net framework 1.1?

It downloads but wont install. I see in other threads how to fix that but do
I need it?

You need all the .NET frameworks - there are programs written for each of
them and version 2.0 will not run those written for 1.0 or 1.1
