Have to Reinstall Type 1 Fonts

I recently moved to a Vista machine. I have a bunch of Adobe type 1 fonts that I use to use Type Manager with in XP.

Now, I have installed these fonts into the Vista fonts folder and they work fine. However, after rebooting, my programs (like Publisher, Word, Photoshop) fail to see these fonts installed and I must reinstall them after each reboot.

The fonts show up fine in the fonts folder, it is just the apps that do not see them.

Any ideas?

I have tried a couple of programs and converted a font into an OpenType and also a Truetype. No matter what format is installed, it does not show up until i reinstall it.

Well, even though Adobe Type Manager Light 4.1 is suppose to not be compatible with Vista, I installed it anyway and now my fonts are working without the need to reinstall them each time.
