Hi,

I'm trying to connect to my work vpn from home. I can connect to the
vpn and the box says connection successful, but after that I can't use
email, internet or my work software programs.

One of the software programs works for a minute, and then says
connection aborted.

I go back to the VPN connection screen and it still says I'm
connected!?!?!?

I can use the internet fine, until I connect to the vpn, and then I
can't use it.

I got the IT guys from work to check it, and they used a 3G mobile
internet card, and everything worked fine.

I have no idea what to do! The IT guy said maybe it's a problem with
your firewall settings on your wireless network at home, or you need to
do something with the ISP.

All other computers at home are using XP, would that make a difference?

I'm a tech noobie, could someone please help me!

Thanks in Advance

Jai

It could be name resolution issue. can you ping the email server by IP? Or
this search result may help.

VPN Issues
Can't access VPN Can't access the shared folder of the VPN client ·
Can't access VPN resources because of two NICs using same IP Can't connect
to a VPN ...
