I am going to make my computer a Duel OS computer. Each OS will have it's
own Hard drive. I currently run WinXP Pro. Which Vista will be the closest
in features to the XP pro? I'm a gamer and do video as well as picture work
on my computer.

If you don't use a domain or want the Ultimate Extras, then Home Premium
will do the trick. Otherwise Ultimate is probably the way to go.

You want either Vista Home Premium or Vista Ultimate.

Lets hope that as they duel they don't kill any innocent bystanders. I
believe you mean 'dual' - as in 'two'.

The closest to XP Pro is Vista Business.

Don't they duel over the destruction of restore points? :-) Microsoft is
unable to get anything right.

Cheers.

Pro allows you to connect to your computer remotely. Your only choice is
Ultimate if you need that feature. Otherwise, Home Premium is fine.

Several points:

1. Dueling on a computer isn't a good idea. What you probably want is
to *dual* boot.

2. From your description of what you do with your computer, I don't
see any reason why you need XP Professional in the first place. XP
Home should work just as well for you.

3. The same is true of Vista. I don't see anything you've said that
tells me you need any more than Vista Home Premium.

4. But to be sure, you should read
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...ns/choose.mspx

or http://tinyurl.com/3843r3

to see the differences in the feature sets of the various Vista
editions.
