Okay, I have set window updates automatically. So, when SP2 was released it
was downloaded automatically. Now, the problem is, I do not want to install
SP2. I am 100% satisfied with SP1.

The thing is, the update screen keeps appearing everytime I turn on my
computer. They say "update SP2"! Okay, how do you get rid of it? I mean, I
haven't uninstalled the software yet. But there's gotta be a way to delete
this program off my hard disk.

Sooner or later, you will have to install it. Do you have specific issues
with installing it you cannot get around now?

(They exist, believe me, I know. heh)

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.

Jim;
Turn off automatic Updates:
Right click My Computer
Click Properties
Click Automatic Update tab.
Check "Turn off..."
Click OK

Or if you still want other Critical Updates through Automatic Update
but not SP-2:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../sp2aumng.mspx
Note: this is time limited

Delete the file on step 5:

This is what has been downloaded and waiting to install.
