having an issue, please help

Hi im new here

I have an issue and im not sure if im in the right sub-forum. Pleas
pardon me if i start a thread in the wrong section

My old server had died down and i build a new domain server fro
scratch of the same name

I have this user who is using window vista business for OS
what I did is jump out from the old domain and rejoin to the ne
domain, and add my user as local administrator on the laptop
and I manually copy my user user profile (C:\user\<Old username> t
C:\user\<New username> using a 2nd account (which also have the loca
administrator rights), and when i log back the user account, I found ou
that my user does not have administrative rights even though in the Use
Account clearly states that my user is an administrator

Please help if any kind soul knows a solution to this. Thanks
