Ever since i did the updates from July 11th, 2006 my mouse freezes up on
occasions and I have to cut my power to reboot because that is all I can do
how do I rectify this or is there anyone else with the same problems as me?
Could you please tell me how to go back to a previous date before the updates
I installed and see if that solves the problem. thank you very much,

Hello Alan,

If you are using Windows XP home, or Pro.
they have a System Restore.

I also had a problem with July/06 Updates, a different one than yours,
I have restored my system to a date before the Updates install, and
the Computer is Working fine up to this Day.
Now I am reinstalling the updates one at the time, with intervals of
two or tree Days apart and see witch one is causing the Problem.

Now lets see if we are talking about the same Updates,
I am dealing with:
(KB917283), (KB914388), (KB917159), and (KB916595).

Are Your Updates similar to the above ones??

Good Luck, x@y

Depending on what mouse you have you could uninstall the drivers then remove
the mouse and plug it back in so the drivers reinstall themselves or if you
have a mouse that requires a disc for drivers then do the same but have the
disc in so when you plug it back in it can pull the drivers from the disc.

Re-install the latest version of the drivers for the chipsets on the PC's
motherboard.

Re-install the latest drivers for the mouse, if there are any.
