I recently downloaded internet explorer 8 beta, about a week ago, man
websites I attempted to use didn't support that version including m
online banking so I unistalled through the control panel. For the las
week I've been having issues with my internet being bogged down afte
that, so I backed up all my files and decided to do a complete reinstal
of Vista Home Premium using my installation disk.

My computer has now been shutting down and restarting every two minute
or so since yesterday around 10am. I think that is a little too long fo
an installation. Can anyone tell me what I should do? I am so hesitan
to send my computer to HP to have it worked on since they did a numbe
of things to my computer the last time they had it when the touch scree
cracked due to a fall

Your computer is shutting down and restarting from within Windows or when
you first turn the computer on and start to do the restore?

To restore your HP computer to factory condition, put your recovery disk
into the drive and restart the computer. You may need to change the boot
order in the BIOS or press a key to get a temporary boot order menu. Boot
from the CD drive and do an Advanced restore, which will be a destructive
restore and take your computer back to factory condition.

If the computer shuts down/restarts while doing this restore - outside of
Windows - you have hardware issues and will need to contact HP tech
support.

Hi,

Sounds like it is stuck in a loop. I would restart the reinstall, hopefully
you've backed up data already as I believe HP's reimaging wipes out the
existing contents.
