HD ind light

Hi there,

I bought a new lappy came with vista home prem. the thing is whenever the
lappy is on the HD indicator pilot light keeps on blinking..is this normail

As far there is no specific pattern in which it is blinking,it's
normal.Nothing to worry about.

Yes, that is normal for vista and it will keep doing that forever and
ever.

Most likely you could do with some more RAM. This is typical behavior
when the OS has to keep swapping data between RAM and the swap file on
your disk to keep all your processes running.

Blink or flicker ?
Although you call it a 'HD Indicator' light it could well be an
'Activity on the bus' light if blinking means a steady ( once a second
say ) blink. It could be the system doing a regular check for the
insertion of a CD/DVD at some other connection. True for desktops
anyway.

It actualy flickers non stop even if am doing nothing on the laptop and its
only switched on..

am in doubt that may be some sort of Trojan or a server running,though i did
a AV scan and did windows diffender scan but nothing was detected????
