i have been able to install vista on a 15 gig hard drive, after the install
it takes about 7 gigs of space.. so thats the absolute minumum, MS recomends
20 gigs at least,
The space you will need really depends more on how many apps you will
install on the C drive.. if you have large programs like adobe stuff, ms
office 2007 corel draw, games that take gigs of space you will want at least
40 gigs for C.
Plus if you store videos and music on your personal folders you will need
space for them also
What I do is this, I keep only windows and programs files on C and move the
documents folder
to another drive or partition.
that way if something goes wrong and i need to format windows I can replace
the files by reinstalling and not losing any critical data.
