The Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your
enabled graphics adapter. Please update your ATI graphics driver, or enable
your ATI adapter using the Displays Manager.

I do not want to download the latest version.
Had this problem before and dell tech helped me. My hard drive failed and
had to get a new one. Now I'm back at the same problem but no dell tech
support. What can I do?

Since the obvious solution is to download a more recent driver, why do you
not want to take this approach?

Download the latest version or live with it.

Not a very kind response. Are you a twelve year old with the mind of a six
year old?

Are the ATI Catalyst and ATI Driver items listed separately in the
Add/Remove Programs applet? If so, just uninstall the Catalyst
ancilliary program. You can't use it if you continue using an
incompatible old driver version.

You don't need CCC unless you want to overclock your card or screw with
settings. Go to AMD's site and d/l the latest driver only. Not the
package. If you scroll down the page it gives you the option to d/l just
the driver. Don't run it. Uninstall your current driver package, reboot,
then install the new driver.

This is exactly why I will never own another ATI product.
Their hardware is garbage, their drivers even worse, and their support is
non-existent.

Let's see now, you post a question then you say you want to ignore what
was told to you?

You must be an IDIOT.
