It's likely your Networking devices. My Sony Vaio notebook runs Vista
but I disable Sound Schemes, so I've not heard the notifications for the
connect/disconnect. Power savings and settings is moderately complicated
and is very vendor specific as to how it's setup and configured. I would
visit the Vendor's Forums and see if others have the same issue. Also, I
might lower the volume slider for system notifications so the sound remains
but plays at a lower level.
