I am really confused as to what the purpose of the heartbeat network is. I
created a heartbeat network with a cross-over cable.
I have a 2 node failover cluster. If I unplug the network cable of the
public network - the cluster fails over to the other node. This makes
complete sense to me but what is the function of the heartbeat network.
